Panguitch, Utah, is surrounded by some of the most majestic scenery on earth and will again host the Stage 2 start on Tuesday, August 5. Panguitch is located only 24 miles northwest of Bryce Canyon National Park and serves as a gateway for two national scenic byways, national monuments and state parks. Considered one of Utah’s best-kept secrets, Panguitch is home to some of the best ATV, biking and hiking trails in the state.
This historically rich town is part of the National Historic District and the county seat of beautiful Garfield County, Utah. With a population of 1,623, Panguitch derived its name from the Paitue Tribe’s Native American word meaning “Big Fish.”
